Okay, I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking that we aren’t even in Ramadan yet but I’m already talking about Eid? Well, this year I’m trying to steer away from my very delayed shopping habits and decided to be more proactive when it comes to my eid shopping.
I’m gathering ideas and putting together potential outfits in my mind so that when I’m out shopping (or in bed, online shopping) I already know what key items to look out for.
There are tons of girls who opt to wear traditional Indian attire for Eid (you know, punjabis etc) and there’s also girls who wear those super fancy abayas that are either blinged out or have some insane draping action going on – anyway, I fall into neither of those categories.
I like to keep my Eid outfits smart but casual, something that I can dress up or dress down and definitely something that I can wear again.
So basically, I’m the type of girl that will be rummaging through the clothing rails of Truworths, Edgars and YDE every weekend in Ramadan, hoping that there’s something magical awaiting me – and more often than not, I’m stuck with an Eid outfit that I’m not really a fan of but will eventually have to learn to love.
As I’ve mentioned above, I’m being more proactive this year. And so I’ve taken to online shopping to scope out the potential Eid outfits and a few sites have really caught my eye.
