Nature’s Carnival Heavenly Pomegranate Body Butter and African Sun Body Lotion Review

A week or 2 ago, I received a bountiful press drop from the guys over at Nature’s Carnival but I’m pretty sure you guys aren’t even aware as to who or what Nature’s Carnival is – so let me explain.

Nature’s Carnival is an online based company that manufactures and retails a variety of products from shower gels and body scrubs to hand/body lotions and shampoos and even hand sanitizers – they’re basically The Body Shop of the online world.
Each and every Nature’s Carnival product is infused with one of their signature fragrances, so you can expect some really, really reeeeaaallly great smelling products from these guys.

Admittedly, at first, I didn’t think their products will be products worth raving about, I assumed that the focus of their products will be solely on the fragrance, however this isn’t totally true. Even though, one can tell, that the fragrance of each product is highly important, Nature’s Carnival doesn’t compromise on the effectiveness of any of their products.
So, simply put, when you purchase a Nature’s Carnival hand lotion, you can expect a frikken’ wonderfully fragrant hand lotion that also nourishes and moisturizes hands.

Amongst a whole other bunch of products, including the entire Madagascan Coconut Vanilla range from Nature’s Carnival, I received the Heavenly Pomegranate Body Butter and African Sun Body Lotion which will be the focus of my review today.

The Heavenly Pomegranate Body Butter
If I had to describe this body butter in one sentence, that sentence would probably be ‘A divine, sweet smelling and hydrating body butter that could give The Body Shop’s Body Butter a run for its money’. And that’s truly how I feel.

This body butter not only smells like it contains a whole cup full of delicious, ruby-red pomegranate bits but it achieves in hydrating the skin and in keeping it moisturized and smelling great for hours on end. It is particularly great for those of you who are on the prowl for a body moisturizer to provide long-lasting moisture and healing effects for your very dry and damaged skin.

I love that it is non-greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin so after you’ve applied it, you can get on with your daily life. It retails for R70.95 for a 200g tub and can be purchased here.  And just like every product from Nature’s Carnival, it is available in a variety of fragrances. So, if you’re not feeling the fruity scent, perhaps you’d like the tropical scent of the Madagascan Coconut Vanilla body butter, which I’ve tested out and can assure you that it won’t disappoint.

The African Sun Body Lotion
Before I go any further, let me just tell you that the fragrance of this body lotion (and obvi the African Sun range in general) is one of the most amazing fragrances I have come across – I will most likely be purchasing the African Sun fragrance mist very soon as I am totally smitten. The fragrance’s key notes of golden apricot, pink peonies and a hint of praline really come through, even on the very first whiff. And it will be perfect as a daily fragrance too. Meh, enough about that, now on to the body lotion.

Once again, just like the Heavenly Pomegranate Body Butter, this body lotion is formulated to absorb quickly into the skin, be non-greasy and to hydrate the skin too. It will be great as a daily body lotion, particularly in the Summer months, when our skin doesn’t require an insane amount of moisture and hydration.

The body lotion is formulated with Aloe Vera, Macadamia Oil, Oat extracts, amongst other nourishing ingredients, which aids the lotion in gliding onto the skin and in providing a great source of hydration for the skin too.
The packaging of the body lotion is genius too. All you’ve got to do is click open the lid, squeeze and apply – no fuss, no mess or is it no mess, no fuss – either way, you get what I’m trying to say?
The body lotion retails for R58.95 and is available in a variety of fragrances, including Twilight forest (yummy key notes of Apricot Nectar, Mimosa Petals and Tuscan Cypress) and the tropical Madagascan Coconut Vanilla, both of which I’ve tried and loved!

I am truly impressed with the products from Nature’s Carnival and sometimes underestimating a brand only to be proved wrong, proves to be quite exciting and thrilling too.
In the upcoming weeks, I’ll be reviewing more of the goodies that I received from Nature’s Carnival, so do look out for that. But in the meantime, if you’d like to check out what else they have available, or if you’d like to purchase one of their cool gift packs for a family member or friend, you can check them out here.
