If you suffer from weak and brittle nails, then this MIY (Make-It-Yourself) is definitely for you!
If you’ve never had/made a nail soak before then all you need to know is that homemade nail soaks are perfect for strengthening nails as well as the skin surrounding the nails – and they’re so easy to make!
Nail Soak Recipe 1: Milk/Honey/Eggs
I know exactly what you’re thinking, that soaking your fingers in raw eggs are just so disgusting? Well, get over it.
The protein from the egg yolks and the calcium from the milk really help to strengthen and harden nails – which is exactly what your weak nails require.
All you need to do is whisk together:
-2 eggs yolks,
-1 tablespoon of Honey
-1/4 cup of milk
And voila! You’ve just made your very first nail soak. Just soak your finger tips in this nail soak for 10-15 minutes, every 3 weeks and prepared to be balled over by the phenomenal results!
Nail Soak Recipe 2: Soley Citrus
If you aren’t up for juicing an orange and therefor wondering if you could just stab one half of an orange, with all 5 fingers – you probably could. You most likely will receive the same benefit, but I can’t guarantee it. However, if you do try the stabbing method and it works/doesn’t work, do let me know? I’d really like to meet a person who will stab an orange with their fingers haha.
Anyway, whichever method you choose (stabbing or juicing) I suggest doing it once a month, for 10-15 minutes, to strengthen nails and to promote nail growth.
P.S the folic acid contained in orange juice is really great for nail growth.
And that’s 2 fab recipes to make your own strengthening nail soaks.
Once you’re done soaking, remember to rinse your hands and nails thoroughly and continue the strengthening process by rubbing Almond Oil into the hands and nails.
