As promised, I’ve got another OOTD post for you guys! This look is something that I’d usually wear when I go shopping, for coffee or just to chill somewhere – it’s relaxed but very put-together which is why it works so well.
For this look, I used this stunning maxi hijab, in the colour Deep Grey, from Hijabi. What I love this scarf is the fact that it’s super long and wide which means you can use it to an create an unlimited number of styles – from a turban to a Turkish hijab style, a classic, draped hijab style and it even can be used as a shawl/sarong to cover up – the possibilities are endless.
Even though, gray is such a versatile colour – I consider it a neutral – I decided to stick to grays and blacks for this look with the exception of these light-wash denims which I picked up from Spree. I love that these jeans are skinny enough to create some shape but loose enough to maintain the modesty. Also, I love that light-wash denims are a lot more casual than darker ones and they also have a very chilled, summery vibe to them!
For my top, I kept it simple with this loose-fitted black turtleneck top which gives me a lot of neck coverage and the loose fit is not only modest but keeps me cool during those hot, summer days as the fabric doesn’t cling to my body. Total YAY!
I opted for all silver-toned accessories including a simple Swarovski necklace, a silver fringed cross-body bag and my silver brogues which I absolutely ADORE – I would’ve preferred to own the silver brogues by ZOOM x Daniella Michelle, but unfortunately all the size 3’s had been magically purchased by tiny-footed South Africans, but this one works just as well!
