Can’t wait for Catrice Cosmetics new Limited Edition ‘It Pieces’ to hit SA stores!!

The new Limited Edition ‘It Pieces’  from Catrice Cosmetics is set to hit South African stores in mid Jan next year, and I cannot wait for it to arrive! This particular limited edition will make a great addition to my makeup collection! The colours and shades that make up It Pieces are perfect for Spring/Summer and will add a great pop of colour to your outfit!

Such pretty colours <3

Such pretty colours ❤

Included in this LE is a single  eye shadow quattro, crushed crystal nail polishes in 3 colours, a defining blush and 2 lip colours – all of which look like they going to be amazing! However, I’m most excited about Sun Glow Shimmering Bronzing Powder and the Made To Stay Smoothing Lip Polish which is available in 3 shades.

The bronzing powder has a cool 3D embossed zig zag pattern which is supposed to allow for the 2 shades within the compact to blend well with each other and gives the skin a radiant summer glow. Most bronzers I’ve tried are very dark and make me look as if I’ve got dark patches everywhere, so I’m holding thumbs for this one!

Baked beauty!

The lip polishes have the colour of a lipstick, shine of a gloss and durability of a balm, 3 products in 1, now that’s what I’m talking about! I usually use my mood lipstick from Dischem as a base, follow up with Labello’s Fruity Shine and top off with my Smashbox lipgloss, so this product gets me really excited.  I’m hoping that the colour does last for the 8 hours that is promised on the packaging, and that the gloss lasts throughout the day. We can only hope for the best!

3 pretty colours!

Plus, I know that even though im a budget I will defo be able to afford this LE, because all of Catrice Cosmetics’ products are very, very reasonably priced – not as cheap as Essence, but still very affordable!

Can’t wait for mid Jan!

The perfect solution for makeup storage

For months, I’ve been nagging my mom to get me one of those Kardashian Make-up Organizers, you know,  those acrylic ones that look so amazing and give you a 360 view of all your make up?

Well, eeeek! She got me one! And so naturally, I’ve already stocked it up with all my make up items, but somehow feel that I need more make up to fill up all the empty spaces.

Here it is:

4 tiers of awesomeness..

4 tiers of awesomeness..

So it looks kind off small in the image above, but trust me its not. It is 300mmx300mmx300mm, it is 4 tiers high with 3 drawers and flip top tier – for perfumes and whatever. And I removed those dividers from the drawers, it just was not working for me. What a great organizer! I love it okaaaay. Simply love it.

And have you seen the handles?? It’s these gorgeous little, acrylic crystal handles and they go perfectly with my room.

I can not stop fiddling with these handles! Love it!

My mom bought it for either R999 or R1099 (I wasn’t really paying attention, I was just too excited!!) from one of the lady’s she knows at work. Thank God for mothers! And I love you mom!

Here’s a few more images of my new, favourite thing:

Okay, I’m off to admire my darling little make up organizer now..

Have you checked out Rubybox?

I discovered Rubybox at the beginning of this year and since then I have purchased many times from them and even got my sisters and other family members hooked on.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should! Their beauty store is stocked with great brands such as Soap & Glory, Urban Decay and

Skin Science, amongst others.  Furthermore, they are  frequently having flash sales and offering free samples with your purchase.

They even have this cool points system – whenever you make a purchase, write a review, refer a friend or have a birthday you earn RubyRands which can be redeemed against future purchases. 1 RubyRand=1 Rand. Plus, you get an awesome R50 coupon just for creating an account, say whaaaat?!

There’s also the monthly RubyBox subscription that they offer, for R119 a month you receive a box filled with 5 surprise products. The products are suited to your beauty needs, dependant on the information you fill in on your beauty profile. I, personally, am not a fan of surprises ( I get anxious and totally cray cray just thinking about getting surprise items) so I’m not signed up for it. However, my sister is, and she always has great reviews about her boxes.

So we know the beauty store stocks great products, the points system is off the charts and the monthly Rubyboxes are great but what about their service?

Well, recently I made 3 purchases from the beauty store. Unfortunately, when my first order arrived I was totally disappointed. The eye shadow compact was totes ruined,  I’m guessing it got damaged whilst in transit as the package was not marked fragile. Anyway, as soon as I realised it was damaged I tweeted and emailed Rubybox and I received a reply immediately from their twitter account. Soon after, someone from customer services contacted me and assured me that they will be sending a new eye shadow compact through. And they did , wooohoooo! The other two orders arrived a few days after the first one and I had no issues whatsoever.

So, if you don’t have an account with RubyBox or did not even know they existed until now, click here to check them out- it’s worth the data usage, I promise!
